What I do get is the all to and mostly useless "xxxx has stopped working" message with the options to "Check on line for a solution", I do not have access to the Edge server side of our Lync system but I am told by the managers that it should work and as a guest. MS thinking? I dare them to resoned on that topic, but of course they can't handle any kind of criticism)

(The only other option, as stated above, is useless and does not warn you that it can not do video which is what the Lync system is supposed to revolve around, what was Which is not one of the options offered when a "guest" is invited to attend a meeting.

Very wishful thinking but what have we got to lose? No MVP but a real actual development engineer who admits to working for MS. Since it seems that MS considers this problem solved, although it is not, I am opening a new thread in the hope that MS will actually take charge of finding a fix. There is one response that is listed as a fix if you are using XP at the remote system. Nor have any of the other posters in that thread. I have posted the following request for help in another thread but have had no appropriate responses.
